We make dashboards for vintage cars as similar as possible to the original one.

Our company was founded by me, Bassani Aldo (when I was 21 years old), and my brother Mario.

It was set up in 1977 and named “Officina Carrozzeria dei fratelli Aldo e Mario”.

A few years later (1980s) we expanded our business by starting to produce ceased production auto parts and spare parts for racing cars made of fiberglass.

Exactly in these years, the company changed its name to “Carrozzeria Al Confine di Bassani Aldo” – Body shop on the border (due to the “border” location of our garage with Austria at the time).

At the beginning of the 1990s, we started producing dashboards for 1960s and 1970s cars, because of a problem that came out in relation to all the 1970s cars, whose dashboards deteriorated.

From the 1990s onward, given the demand, the business has totally focused on the construction of vintage car dashboards as close as possible to the original ones.

Passion and family are the beating heart of our work.

Our core concept is passion.

It is the emotional thrust and the uncontrollable determination that pushed me to make many sacrifices in the past but then, with time, gave me also satisfactions, profits and, above all, the possibility to raise a family.

Surely, the birth of our four children represented a strong stimulus to carry on with my company.

Teaching them the values of work and sacrifice represented one of our fundamental goals, thus acting as a stimulus to continue with the business.

I am still leading the company today, after well over 40 years.

In the future, the business will pass into the hands of our sons Andrea and Michele.

In order to ensure business continuity and our reputation, which I really care about, it is essential to pass, slowly and above all gradually, from one generation to the next.

Reading positive opinions about our company gives me always a lot of satisfaction: I would like to keep transmitting this trust and become, or even better, to make my sons become leader professionals in the field.

Although the so-called word of mouth represents the most effective and persuasive advertising tool at all, having a dedicated web space can certainly offer new opportunities.

A website allows us to become known and reachable anywhere in the world, without space or time limits, and let us offer a different sales service, such as online sale.

In my opinion, a website gives a more professional company’s image, up with the times.

Besides, during our last participation at the exhibition “Auto e Moto d’Epoca”, many people draw our attention to the difficulty of finding us: they have always heard well of us but never managed to find our contacts.

I am proud of the familiar hallmark of the company, and the willingness of my sons to take over the business, trying to assert even more our presence on the national and international territory.
